Reply Cheryl Tallafuss November 9, 2019 What an incredibly helpful video. How happy I am to have not given up and continued to search for someone who could help a new persons journey with watercolor. I will be ordering my supplies today that you have suggested. Well done. I’ve waited to order until I found someone who would suggest especially the paint brand and brushes I would need to get started and not get overwhelmed due to me purchasing the things that would not be helpful on this journey. Your instruction was also very very helpful. I’ll be watching all of your videos and add you to my address book so I can “binge watch” while learning more when supplies arrive so I can paint along with you. Thank you for sharing. Great work. 👍🏽👍🏽😊😊❤️ Reply Gerdine van Schothorst November 9, 2019 Nice video again Mako! I really enjoy and learn from them! As I am currently painting, I cane across some dificulties. Q: how often do you have to clean your brush? In other words, when should you at least clean your brush? Q: Do you have some (more) tips on composition of paintings/drawings? I really struggle with it. Seperate parts of my paintings look ok, but often the composition looks somehow off. Q: When is is it ok to paint the whole background first and then the foreground? In other words, when do you recommend to leave white space for the foreground pieces (I would like to minimize that because it costs extra time). Any tips on that? Also, the build-up of layers paint, why not make te initial mix up more pigment saturated so you would need less layers? What is the downside to that? Curious what you think of this :-). Have a wonderful day! Reply Aka November 9, 2019 I feel so inspired! Thank you so much for this video. You are amazing at ur job and great teacher too. As always, love your art and thx for all the information! May I ask what was the size of the Da Vinci Casaneo brush u used to paint in the video? I am thinking about (finally) investing in one good brush. So I want to be sure which size I should buy. Many thanks in advance. Reply Cristian Moya Romero November 9, 2019 Hey Mako, would you make some tutorials on how to work with liquid watercolors? Greetings from Chile.
